Resources for Families
LEARN Academy® recognizes the importance of strong partnerships between schools and families in supporting students’ education and well-being. We aim to empower families and foster a collaborative partnership between home and school. We recognize that when families are equipped with knowledge and support, they can actively contribute to their child’s success in education.
We want parents and caregivers to have a clear understanding of the teaching methods and learning objectives being used in the classroom. This allows parents to support their child’s learning at home. That’s why we use something we call “bi-directional communication.” It’s a two-way exchange of information between home and school. It involves active listening and effective communication from both sides, allowing for the sharing of ideas, thoughts, and feedback.

1:1 Engagement
LEARN Academy® recognizes the importance of personalized support and one-on-one services for families. Personal engagement is a crucial aspect of our approach to supporting families. We offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of individual students and their families. We regard parents and other family members as essential partners in the education of each child.
One key aspect of 1:1 engagement is working directly with parents and family members to share classroom strategies that can reinforce learning at home. LEARN Academy® understands that when parents are equipped with effective strategies, they can provide valuable support to their child’s education beyond the classroom.
By sharing insights into teaching methods, study techniques, and other relevant information, LEARN Academy® empowers parents to actively participate in their child’s learning. We also serve as an ongoing resource to parents with questions, needs, or observations they may have.
Family Workshops
LEARN Academy® understands the importance of strong partnerships between schools and families in supporting students’ education and well-being. We offer family workshops as part of our comprehensive approach to foster collaboration and build stronger connections between school and home.
We also understand the importance of addressing the mental health and socio-emotional well-being of students with special needs, as well as providing support for their families. In addition to family workshops, LEARN Academy® offers Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) specifically designed for these families.
These services aim to support the mental health and socio-emotional well-being of students, providing them with the necessary support to thrive academically and personally. We also offer other counseling services. Such programs provide support for families whose child has socio-emotional or socio-behavioral needs.
Online Resources
LEARN Academy® recognizes the importance of providing families with access to resources that can help them understand and take advantage of the opportunities available to their children. We offer online and in-community resources that streamline information on various topics relevant to families’ educational needs.
We centralize information — whether it’s providing plainspoken descriptions of Title I and LEARN Academy’s® role as an education partner or letting families know about gatherings in their area for families with children with special needs.
